Amazon will drop the price of Kindle Fire Amazon is preparing to relaunch the price war in the touch pads. A year after shaking sector by launching its Kindle Fire for only $ 199, less than half the price of an iPad, it should offer an even cheaper, partly funded by advertising. The announcement must be made at a press conference to be held this Thursday in Santa Monica, California. According to the Wall Street Journal, Amazon will apply the same strategy as in the electronic reading lights. It already offers its customers a discount of 30 to 50 dollars on the purchase of Kindle and Kindle Touch, if they agree to watch ads regularly and receive gift vouchers. Messages are displayed for a few seconds to exit standby mode. With a comparable reduction in the price of the Kindle Fire would fall to $ 150.
